If you use Google Chrome you will be glad that the US company has decided to implement DuckDuckGo research. With pressure from the European Union due to Google's huge monopoly, this is one of the few times we see a search being added to Chrome.
DuckDuckGo is known for its privacy and for being a strong critic of Google services. Google, as you know, knows almost as much (or more) than you about your tastes, hobbies or preferences. The American company has an application monopoly that leaves anyone wondering if this is good or bad.
So far we have not had many problems with this information. Especially because Google is one of the few companies that continues to bet on not selling information to third parties. Something that happened with Facebook.
DuckDuckGo has officially arrived at Google Chrome
Still, there are those who do not like to give anything and everything about their life. That's why we have strong criticism from services like DuckDuckGo that insist on warning people about the dangers of giving their information to a company like Google.
Today DuckDuckGo has come to Google Chrome and UK is one of the countries that can use it. Although not active for all users (yet nothing on this side) DuckDuckGo will soon be available to all users from UK and Brazil.
How to turn DuckDuckGo preferred in Google Chrome
Whether for PC, Android or iPhone the definition is the same. First go to the 3 points in the upper right corner. Then you just have to go to the settings and choose the DuckDuckGo search engine. As simple as that. As I mentioned, even though it has been announced for UK and Brazil, I still do not have the possibility to activate it. Maybe in the next 48 to 72 hours it will be active. If you value privacy this is one way to have it.
