One would think that a car game would be the last type of game to receive a Battle Royale mode. However, the game Forza Horizon 4 will receive this mode under the name Eliminator where 72 players will compete to be the last survivor. Even a trailer was released.
Eliminator will work as follows: Players start with a basic Mini Cooper and upgrade as they win races or find other cars on the map. In the style of a classic Battle Royale, the playable area of the map shrinks until only one survivor remains.
Battle Royale mode in Forza Horizon 4 will arrive as a free upgrade on December 12th. This will surely be a way to streamline the game and adhere to Battle Royale fashion, popularized in shooting games like Fortnite, PUBG Mobile or even the recently launched Call of Duty Mobile for mobile phones.
Battle Royale no Forza had already been thought of during development
During an interview with IGN, the Playground Games game studio revealed an interesting detail: the idea of a Battle Royale at Forza had been under consideration for a long time. According to the studio, the idea came from the various competitive modes that already existed.
Therefore, Playground Games studio wants to take advantage of Battle Royale fashion and increase Forza's gameplay factor. Forza Horizon 4 is the latest edition of the racing simulator and is available for PC and Xbox One.
