Without a doubt, the highlight throughout Fortnite's 9th season was the construction of the giant pink robot. As might be expected, as the season nears its end, construction is over and the giant "Doggus" has completed his mission in a battle of the titans.
Yesterday was the big "D-day", and after the completion of the construction of the "Doggus" robot, Epic Games closed virtually all game modes in Fortnite.
Online players were moved to a new mode called "The Final Showdown" where they could see the epic battle between Doggus and Cattus, a monster that threatened to destroy the entire island.
Titan Battle Seen Live by Millions of Players
In this game mode created especially for this battle, players could travel freely around the island to get the best viewing angle of the battle. Without having to worry about opponents, the only goal of this mode was to really enjoy this unique battle.
After several minutes both giants used their weapons to exchange various blows. Eventually, both eventually jumped into the ocean, momentarily disappearing. Doggus seemed to have won the battle, being the only one to reappear on the island.
However, Cattus did not take long to jump out of the water, surprisingly pulling one of the robot's arms. After a few more exchanges of attacks, Doggus removed a large sword from the ground and managed to make the final attack on the monster. After the victorious battle, the robot performed the legendary 'Floss' and saluted the millions of players before flying off the map.
The monster's skeleton, with its sword stuck in its skull, is still present on Fortnite Island, representing a new area that could be integrated into season 10.
