Epic Games has made it very clear over the past few months that it wants Fortnite to be much more than a simple Battle Royale game. To this end, it created a “battle-free” space called Party Royale, where players can simply socialize with other players. It is in this space where the “Afterlife Party” will be held, which will feature the special concert by J Balvin, the popular Colombian reggaeton singer.
No great details have yet been revealed about the concert, having only been revealed by Epic Games that it will be a concert like never before seen on Fortnite. For players in UK, it will be a challenge to participate in this concert, as it will start at dawn from Saturday to Sunday (October 31 to November 1) at 2 am.
To date, Fortnite has featured exclusive concerts by major international artists such as Travis Scott, Diplo, Steve Aoki and deadmau5.
Epic Games promises a unique experience in the world of “online concerts”
According to Nate Nanzer, Head of Global Partnerships at Epic Games, revealed that the J Balvin show will be unique and that Fortnite players have never experienced anything like it. Apparently, the concert will use Epic’s XR technology and take advantage of the LED wall of the Main Stage and remotely controlled cameras.
Unfortunately, Nanzer did not reveal more details about the concert, leaving millions of fans eager to discover what news will be revealed during the “Afterlife Party”.
We know that until November 1st, a neon version of the Party Trooper skin will be available in the Fortnite store. For those who buy this skin and have it active during the concert, Epic Games will offer a customized version by J Balvin absolutely free.
