For many, the foldable iPhone may still look like a mirage. And the most recent information leaks show that Cupertino's technology has been testing various types of folding screens, with the aim of reaching the most convenient format.

This means that Apple will have smartphones with the same appearance as the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the Galaxy Z Flip. There are thus prototypes for a smartphone that unfolds into the tablet format, and also for a shell-shaped device.

This last format is the one that has gained more strength in the last rumors, and as 4gnews advanced in the last week, Apple wants to make the foldable iPhone “cool” for the new generations. Therefore, we can expect an equipment available in several colors.

Foldable iPhone with support for Apple Pencil is a possibility

But according to analysts at Omdia, the foldable iPhone may even have a hybrid format between mobile phone and tablet. And the same source mentions a novelty: support for Apple Pencil.

It is important to remember that, to date, there is no support for Apple Pencil on any iPhone. This is exclusive to iPads, but it would make sense on an iPhone if it were to become a tablet.

Remember that until recently the S Pen was exclusive to Samsung's Note line of smartphones (and tablets). This year the South Korean manufacturer extended that same support to the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

This same source says that the foldable iPhone will only be launched in 2023. If this happens, it is still too early to talk about a final product, which should change according to its development process.
