The world of video games is a real roller coaster, and it is impossible to predict which games will become viral. After a long time in which the great successes of the gaming world were almost exclusively in the Battle Royale category, Fall Guys arrived in a rush to surprise everyone and everything.
The simple platform game, which has an extremely close concept with several television programs such as “games without borders”, won millions of fans in just a few hours, becoming one of the most popular games today. Now Joe Walsh of Mediatonic revealed in an interview with The Loadout that they are more committed than ever to bringing cross platform support.
Although he still has no concrete information on when it can be implemented, Walsh reaffirmed that this is one of the priorities of the programmers’ team. This is not a strategy that comes as a big surprise. After the explosion of success, this will be the natural step for them to gain even more impact, allowing all players to play together, regardless of the platform they are on.
Fall Guys will soon arrive on Android, iOS and possibly the popular Nintendo Switch
As with several other games that experienced huge success at the time of their release, Fall Guys also suffered from the “multiplication” phenomenon on the Google Play Store and AppStore. Although not yet available in a mobile version, clones trying to take advantage of this popularity flooded both app stores.
After the studio was forced to warn fans of this event, confirmation emerged that the mobile version of the game will be released soon in China. Still without official confirmation, everything indicates that the global launch of Fall Guys for smartphones should not take much longer to happen.
Another highly anticipated arrival by fans is the Nintendo Switch version. Considering the concept of the game and all its mechanics, an arrival on Nintendo Switch seems to present itself in an almost mandatory way. Guaranteed, with a possible launch for the handheld console, the game’s popularity will skyrocket to numbers never seen before.
For now, Fall Guys remains available only for PlayStation 4 and PC, through Steam.
