Do you have issues with your T8-AML-V2 Android EBox TV box device and want to do a factory reset on it ? So you should be aware if you do a factory reset so it will delete all the data on your device and it will be left with default apps on it which came with firmware on device or as last time you updated firmware.

So there are two ways to factory reset the device back to how you received it from us.

First Method

Please go to Main Settings via main screen or apps menu on your EBox device.

Now select Other and than go to More Settings onto it.

Now go to Backup And Reset option. And If needed here you can do a backup via Backup My data option for app data,WiFi password and other settings of device to your Google account.

Now you can proceed for Factory Data Reset so once you click on it it will show a warning screen so you need to click on Reset Device and on next screen click Erase Everything . Now device will shut down and reboot so it may take a few minute to reset device completely so don’t turn off device or remove power cable until it boot to menu screen.

Second Method

In this method you can do a factory reset of device using pin method and it can be also done if you can’t get to menu on device when powering on so this is how you can reset if you have blue light on device when powering on your EBox device but no display on TV screen.

Look at right of device there is a small hole for reset button into it.

First turn device off and use a pin and press the pin into hole where reset button on right of unit until you hear a sound that it got pressed and now turn device power on using power button on device front with continue pressing the reset button via pin and than once the screen flash than remove the pin from reset button

So it will be a boot menu on screen now and and use the up/down key on remote/keyboard you have and high light the Wipe Data / Factory Reset on it and now select OK on remote or Enter on keyboard than high light Yes – Delete all User Data and press OK on remote or Enter on Keyboard and it should complete the reset process now and once its complete click Reboot System Now.

    My TV box worked fine yesterday but now all I get is No Signal, like it is not connected but all connections have been checked. I tried to do the toothpick restore with no changes, any thoughts?

      Hello Gary, there are many ways to do this but if you are worried about wiping something that you need you should use ‘file browser’. This app will be able to show you all your storage contents so you can individually delete any unwanted files. Another option is to do a factory reset and select the ‘back up my data’ option, this will save your files after the reset has been performed.

    Hi guys, got problems with my T8-AML-V3-S box all was fine till clocks changed, the time did not change, found time zone set wrong, set to London all seemed ok then it reverted back to Azores. Anyway tried a few more times, no joy, did a factory reset, still no joy, I now cannot reload my set it keeps faulting on Wookie script error. Is it something I’ve done wrong or is the box faulty, pity really box was performing really well. Hope to hear from you soon. Bob

      Hello Bob, if your T8 device is connected to the internet and has the time set to ‘auto’ it should keep its time. Make sure these setting are in place and try again,

    Ota for t8 aml v2 not working the most recent post is not on your firm ware down load .conducted SD card and reset in 02/16 of which it did update .please can you give advice thanks

      Hello Bruce, the OTA update is working fine so try again and make sure that you have sufficient storage capacity before updating.

    Hello I cannot do factory restore help will not work like in video just goes to black screen after yellow/red globe/sphere has finished spinning

      Hello Chris, try doing a firmware update with the SD card and then try a factory reset after. You should be able to perform a factory reset fine now , contact support if you need further assistance.

    just bought T8 box and set up problems. have downloaded 15.2 too many times but the one file with Isengard hasnt fully downloaded and so when opened is unsound. i want to try again by removing all of the wooki files i have downloaded but the reset via setting back up& factory reset is not clearing. i have followed the video which advises both boxes (back updata and auto restore) are unticked ahead of ‘erase everything’ tab is selected. any suggestions welcomed
