Spotify music streaming service announced on Twitter that the platform will integrate with Facebook Stories. Users will be able to add 15 second clips to their temporary Facebook Stories posts.
This feature serves as an additional promotion tool for music artists who want to expose their work on Facebook. Spotify already has sharing options for most social networks so this is a great case for combining business with pleasure.
How to share Spotify clips on Facebook Stories
To use the new function, simply click the 'Share' button on any Spotify song. Next you should choose Facebook and then your Stories.
This way, your Story will be shared with the chosen song. The question is whether it will be possible to take photos and put music, as on Instagram but so far does not seem that it will be possible. The feature should be available in the app for Facebook and Spotify users.
Instagram has been benefiting from this feature for some time
Since 2018, Instagram has supported Spotify in sharing stories. Not only is it possible to share the track but the album in question, playlists and even animations with the lyrics appear on the screen. At the time, Facebook had said it would eventually bring the same functionality to the main social network.
So artists can now benefit from social media traffic and still attract attention to their music work. However, the truth is that Facebook Stories is not as popular as Instagram Stories. Mainly considering that Facebook usage has been stagnating in recent months.
