Facebook Messenger is probably one of the most used applications on Android and iOS. While not my favorite messaging platform, it's certainly the one I use the most.
All because almost all my contacts have a Facebook account, so having Messenger is just another life-making application.

I already liked Facebook Messenger better than I do now. The introduction of advertisements that have nothing to do with my taste, or the introduction of stories made me a little sad.
Worse yet, GIFs seem far from right for the keywords I'm looking for. I'm a GIF lover and the only way I can do it correctly is by using the Google GBoard keyboard.
New design for Facebook Messenger on Android coming soon
The new User Interface change, coming soon to Android smartphones, promises a considerable change. We have a cleaner and simpler layout. The search was rounded, following the small changes in the Facebook application.
Soon after, we can see that contacts have been simplified as well. You can add emojis to your contacts and the names of the people you are talking to.
The advertisements are also present. Apparently in smaller squares to show at least two per screen.
Although it is not known exactly when the news comes, it is mentioned that some users already have the possibility to see it. The update will not arrive via application, that is, everything will be updated on the server and will automatically modify. That is, even if you don't like it, there's no way to keep the design you have right now.
We'll see if these design changes will also hit Apple smartphones. For now we have only been informed that we will have changes on Android.
