Facebook is one of the most used applications in the world. Over the years Mark Zuckerberg's company has managed to become a "must have" App on every smartphone.
That is why changes are usually viewed with pleasure. Facebook's design isn't exactly the most elegant of all. So, with the news of Facebook Messenger yesterday, Facebook also had a new make-up.
The applications for Android and iPhone had a slight difference. Now the Facebook logo appears at the top instead of the blue bar with the search and camera symbol.
The search is still there but in the upper right corner. More minimalist and with a more appropriate design for the year 2019. The Facebook logo was no accident. The company has been controversial in recent years due to scandals over user privacy. Reminding the user on Facebook is important. That's certainly why the logo is in the upper left corner whenever you swipe up no matter where you are.
But the big change is in the design of the computer version. The new User Interface has not yet reached all users so it is normal that you are not yet able to see it.
Still, one developer managed to get a preview of the new User Interface and showed us what it will look like. In the center we have the typical feed, on the left side some of the shortcuts and on the right side the suggestions and contacts that should lead to the stories of people in the social network.
This is Facebook's first major design change. The company looked for something more minimalist in design leaving the heavy blue behind. Although not the biggest fan of the social network we welcome this change.
