Elon Musk wants to land on Mars already in 2024

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk recently revealed that he plans to send the first humans to Mars in a 4-6 year period.

SpaceX has been developing the Falcon 9 replacement for several years, but the vehicle known as Starship is still far from complete. However, several prototypes of the most varied parts have been tested, with results that oscillate between success and random explosions.

Furthermore, it will be necessary for Musk and his engineers to design a Super Heavy module, capable of catapulting the spacecraft out of Earth’s gravitational well and driving it to such a distant location. This crucial component has not yet started to be built, but SpaceX officials look confident.

Tesla CEO has ambitious plans

Elon Musk is known for not being shaken by a few mishaps, as long as they put him on the right path for the success of his projects. The executive has repeatedly reiterated that he has every confidence that he will be able to send a manned mission to the red planet in a period of 6 years, advancing now that, if he has a tip of luck, this could happen as early as 2024.

On the other hand, NASA still has no perspective on when it will be able to place a human on Mars, mainly invoking safety concerns related to radiation in deep space and its effects on man. For now, the American agency aims for 2030, but without committing to the date.
