Google has decided to bring the “Go” version of Google Gmail to all Android users. This application is basically the same application as Gmail, however, much lighter than the original.
These “Go” applications were designed for smartphones with low specifications, that is, it is an App that will fly on any smartphone with better specs. In addition, you end up spending less internet than the “normal” Google Gmail application.
Google Gmail Go is on the Google Play Store for all Android smartphones
To download the new application you just need to go to the Google Play Store and download the “Go” version to your smartphone. It is worth mentioning that this application will be available for all Android smartphones, however, I am still unable to install Gmail Go on my device.
In other words, it is plausible to imagine that Google is making the installation available in a phased manner. To see if you can already install, just go to the link above and test your installation. If you can’t, don’t be afraid, it should be available in a few days.
Gmail application differences are minimal
Unlike other “Go” Apps, the differences in aesthetics and functionality in the Go version are minimal. You may not have, for example, smart composer, however, everything else is the same. Even on your User Interface.
Advantages of Go applications
- They are much lighter than “normal” Apps
- Usually spend less internet
- Focus on basic features
These are the 3 advantages of these Go applications. However, if you are one of those who value having all the features in Gmail (or other Apps) and your smartphone can handle it without problems, there is not much justification for installing Go versions.
