Disney + is one of the most anticipated streaming services ever, placing itself as one of Netflix's top rivals. With official release scheduled for November 12th, it has come astonishingly to Europe two months earlier and for free!
For now, it is only available in the Netherlands, where users can register for free and enjoy all the content available until the official launch day. Although no further information has been disclosed, it is believed that it will reach other countries, including UK.
Pilot project gives new access to Disney + and reveals what the new service will look like
As The Verge points out, Disney's new streaming service features far less content than its big rival, Netflix. On the other hand, it has a much larger offer when compared to Apple TV +.
But we can't (yet) judge the new service by the amount of content available. According to Thomas Ricker of The Verge, the entire interface was designed to provide the most intuitive user experience possible. All content is easy to find, without wasting a lot of time getting to the show or movie we're looking for.
Marvel gets big prominence in this initial access phase
Among the many rumors circulating about Disney +, many indicated that at an early stage, only 4 Marvel films would be available. Without any explanation being revealed, at this stage of initial access, 18 Marvel films are available, which will prove to be a true 'Christmas gift' for the millions of fans.
- Avengers: Age of Ultron
- Avengers: Infinity War
- Iron man
- Iron man 2
- Iron man 3
- Guardians of the Galaxy
- Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol 2
- Black panther
- Captain America: The Winter Soldier
- Captain America: The First Avenger
- Captain America: Civil War
- Thor: The Dark World
- Thor: Rangnarok
- Ant-Man and the Wasp
- Doctor strange
In addition to the presence of numerous Marvel movies, the complete Star Wars saga will also be highlighted, with movies available from Episode I through VIII and all specials, series and LEGO adaptations.
Among the hundreds of movies, animations and series, it will be extremely simple to navigate through all the content. You'll be able to explore various sections that separate movies into various categories.
Since the Disney + streaming service will focus heavily on content intended for young people, you will be able to create user accounts for children, where the displayed content will be restricted to the age indicated.
