Having officially launched on October 1, 2019, Call of Duty: Mobile recently celebrated its first anniversary. This milestone becomes even more important because during this time, it managed to become one of the most popular games for Android and iOS.
With the latest CoD Mobile update, players will not only be able to celebrate their anniversary with an exclusive event, but also enjoy many more new features. Among the new implementations, you’ll be able to find new maps, a new battle pass, game modes and even a new perk.
All the news brought by the 1st anniversary of Call of Duty: Mobile
The exclusive event for CoD Mobile’s first anniversary will feature a secondary main menu called “The Club”, featuring various mini-games, new social features, NPC missions and more. While exploring this new section of the game, you will be able to choose between 4 different songs for a more varied environment.
As with so many other events, you’ll be able to earn coins to spend on the Anniversary Machine, where you’ll be able to earn various rewards.
Alcatraz is your new Battle Royale map
Apparently, the addition of the new Battle Royale Alcatraz map is limited to this special anniversary event for now. However, it would not be surprising if it turns out to be permanent if users so desire. As when this map debuted in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Alcatraz brings a totally different experience to Battle Royale mode.
Rather than placing players in a vast area where anything can happen, it ends up promoting much more close combat, resulting in much shorter game sessions.
New game modes and maps
This anniversary season brings us a new map for both Gunfight mode and 1v1 Duel and King. In addition we also have the return of Halloween Standoff mode, which was expected at any time with the approach of the very special date.
Another surprise is the addition of the “Cranked” mode, originally released in the game Call of Duty Ghosts. As in that game, players will continue to gain movement and loading speed as they eliminate opponents.
