Submarino is one of the largest Brazilian stores and when you open its official website we immediately find a teaser Samsung for the next Unpacked event (unboxing) of the next high end. It's almost time to meet the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + and this time Brazil will be entitled to all the perks of Samsung's next wonder pair.
Its official presentation will be in the beautiful city of New York in the United States of America but EBox will have first hand news of this great presentation. It is not every day that the South Korean giant introduces new top equipment and we could not miss such an opportunity.
Today I bring good news to all Samsung users in Brazil. One of the country's largest retailers, Submarino, is already accepting pre-bookings for the Samsung Galaxy S8 in Violet (Amethyst).
This very peculiar and showy color will come to Brazil, that's for sure. It remains to be seen if it will be a unique color for some selected markets or will be available globally instead. We will also have the traditional Black, Blue, Gold and Silver.
What will bring us the Galaxy S8?
The world is looking to New York, the "big apple" will be the stage for the presentation of South Korean Samsung. Then we will officially get to know your Galaxy S8. The new tops will come a little late to the markets but I have no doubt that the excellent brand marketing will make all the difference.
At the moment we can see that Submarino is polling its customers about Violet color for the Brazilian market. This could be just a marketing maneuver or a preparation and market study for future orders and management of the stock.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + will use Qualcomm's new flagship processor (SoC), the Snapdragon 835 uses a more efficient 10nm (nanometer) construction architecture than previous models. It has eight processing cores (4×2.45 GHz Kryo and 4×1.9 GHz Kryo), in addition to the Adreno 540 graphics.
The new Galaxy will also use Samsung's own Exynos 8895 processor which puts great emphasis on using a dual camera at its rear. The question is whether in Europe we will have the variant with Snapdragon or the new Exynos.
Cameras will be a great former libris of the new Galaxy but it is impossible not to notice the screen, practically edge to edge, that we have seen in every leak of information regarding the new "wonder pair".
Other technical specifications will include 4 to 6GB of RAM, a minimum of 32GB of expandable internal storage, and a new interface (UI), Samsung Experience, based on Android 7.1 Nougat. Will be flagships (tops) with all the pomp and circumstance and will have a tough task ahead.
Competition will not make life easier for the Galaxy S8 and remember that Apple was the most profitable company in the mobile market in 2016, making close to 80% of all profits generated in this segment. In turn, Samsung was the builder that sold most smartphones during the same period with 308.5 million units coming out of its warehouses, according to Strategy Analytics.
