BMW jumped headfirst and unveiled its first all-electric SUV on Tuesday. It’s called iX3, and you can even order it in UK now, with a price that starts at 80 thousand euros.
For this amount, consumers will receive a powerful vehicle, but also with an interesting range. This is because it has an 80kWh battery, which gives it an autonomy of up to 460 kilometers.
The iX3 has a power of 282 hp which translates into a torque of 400 Nm. In practice, you can count on an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.8 seconds. As for the maximum speed, it is limited to 180 km / h.
BMW says that charging the iX3 quickly will be a reality. If you do it with 150kW fast charging, you’ll have 80% battery power in just 34 minutes. This way, with 10 minutes of charging, you will have battery for another 100 km.
To order the upcoming iX3 you will have to go to one of the brand’s dealers around the country. Production will start in September, and arrival on UK’s roads is scheduled for January.
In its Inspiring version, it costs the referred 80 thousand euros. But if you want to bet on a more sporty vehicle, you’ll have to choose the Impressive version, which starts at 86,500 euros.
