If you spend a lot of time playing at the desk, it is crucial that you have the most correct posture. And that is what a comfortable and versatile chair is for, as can be considered the BlitzWolf BW-GC5.
This chair has a gaming aspect and purpose, but it will nevertheless be an option for those looking for something economical to work in comfort from home. It has several “extras” that I really liked, but not everything is perfect.
BlitzWolf BW-GC5 first impressions
BlitzWolf is a Chinese manufacturer that came into the house a few years ago with a power bank, later a smart plug and even Bluetooth headsets.
When the opportunity arises to test a gaming chair from this brand, it raises curiosity. And once you open your 19.5kg box, it’s time to assemble it with the help of a very simple instruction manual.
It should be noted that the assembly does not take long, and the manual follows the line of what I am already used to with IKEA products. The difference here is that all the screws have already been placed in the correct places, and you will not have to look for them in the various “bags”.
Moving from my cheapest Ikea chair to this one was a notable leap. The most relevant for me were the pillows for lumbar and cervical support, which make you notice less pain after a short time.
The construction of this gaming chair is satisfactory
For just over € 100, don’t expect this chair to have a top construction. The materials are cheap, and it arrived with a small tear in the fabric under the seat (which does not affect its usability, but it should be mentioned).
You can adjust the height of the chair between 48 and 56 centimeters, and it promises to hold up to users up to 180kg. The armrests are adjustable in height, forwards or backwards and to the sides.
Another point in favor of this chair is the removable legrest. This is useful if you are watching a movie, but it is practically impossible to use if you are leaning against the desk and it is leaning against a wall (for reasons of space).
Although this is focused on gaming, black dominates over blue, which makes it not exactly extravagant in any setup. But it will also depend on the eyes of each one.
A good price-quality gaming chair
This is a competent chair for the price. The materials are satisfactory without impressing, and demonstrated stability over the several days of testing.
The adaptability of the armrests is very good, and the lumbar support cushion is generous. However, the pillow behind my neck is at the limit for me, who is 170cm. That is, a larger person may have problems if they want to use it.
The dominance of the black color makes it minimally discreet, and it can be said that it is comfortable and easily found the right position. In terms of height, there is good flexibility, and you can just lie down on it if you want.
The pillow to support the legs is a good extra. But for work or gaming against the desk, I ended up using it close to zero times. But it is there, and you can use it.
