Audi has increasingly invested in the electric car segment. With a top competitor like Tesla, it is not exactly easy to create cars that can be compared directly.
Still, Audi is gradually working to get there. Incidentally, Audi CEO Markus Duesmann said in an interview that his company “is fast approaching“from Tesla. A statement that makes us eager to know the future of the brand’s electric cars.
Audi catching Tesla is not unreasonable
Tesla was the first to seriously invest in the electricity sector. In other words, it is a matter of time before competitors are able to fight on an equal footing.
The CEO of Audi knows how to admit that his company is not yet on the same level as Tesla, however, he also looks to the future with a smile and believes that he has the ability to face the company of Elon Musk.
Markus Duesmann also said that the “threat” of Elon Musk to create a battery for electric cars that will give a million kilometers without any type of degradation is still far from being realized.
He even pointed out (in other words) that Elon Musk talks a lot and his deadlines and ambitions are not always correct or are achieved.
The truth is that the CEO of Audi is not entirely wrong. In Tesla’s early years, the company was in serious trouble for failing to meet Elon Musk’s deadlines. In the last few years Tesla has been improving the manufacture of its cars and it starts to be more recurrent to see the predictions of Tesla and Elon Musk correct.
Audi e-Tron deserves to be seen
EBox had the opportunity to test the Audi e-Tron and there are not many points where the car fails. It may not even have Tesla’s autonomous driving technology, but it is a top-of-the-range car in every respect. Your autonomy may also not be the best, however, it can handle the daily lives of most people without any problem.
