The numbers are enlightening. If there is one brand that dominates the smartwatch market, that brand is Apple. Counterpoint figures for the first quarter of 2019 show that one in three smartwatches shipped are from Cupertino.
Apple is not in the habit of disclosing the performance of certain devices in the market. But that's what market agencies like Counterpoint are for. The Cupertino company has a 35.8% market share this quarter.

Apple Watch is almost a must for anyone with an iPhone
If there is truly smart watch, this is it. Any Android user who knows about pruning can admit it. Apple Watch is the watch that is best designed for integration into your ecosystem, and it sets you apart in these numbers.
According to Counterpoint, overall shipments were up 48% over the same period last year. This is due to the growth not only of Apple, but also of Samsung, Fitbit and Huawei in this segment.
In second position, it is not surprising that we see Samsung with 11.1%. Incidentally, the South Korean giant shows a growth of 127% over the previous year. Also up nearly 3% was Huawei, which in 2018 was virtually nonexistent in this segment.
Looking at the list, we see Huami Amazfit closing the top five. Xiaomi's subsidiary registered a decrease of almost 1% over the same period of the previous year, with 3.7% in this market. There is a need for a new Amazfit Bip in the market to leverage these numbers.
