It's no secret that Apple is working on smart Augmented Reality glasses. Previous patents have already mentioned this and usually “where there is smoke, there is fire”.
This new patent refers to the way users interact with Augmented Reality “buttons”. That is, the way users will interact when the technology is ready to commercialize.
Apple patent talks about heat sensors for interaction
The new patent states that the interaction between objects (virtual and real) will be differentiated by heat. That is, Apple will implement a quality of sensors in the gadget in order to understand what is created by the “machine” and real life. When you click on this “button” the sensors will see the heat in your hand pressing the virtual button.
This feature looks more like a sci-fi movie, however, it is a good idea to distinguish real objects from those created by the gadget. In addition, the interaction would be much better if it were a heat sensor.
When Apple's Augmented Reality Glasses will arrive
Rumors have been saying that Apple's Augmented Reality glasses will be officially revealed in the coming years. Some point to 2021, however, the lack of information leaks leads us to question this information.
We know that Apple wants its future to pass through Augmented Reality. Incidentally, we have seen this even with the implementations of AR on their phones and tablets.
We just need smart glasses to have an even more concrete and objective interaction. Perhaps this will be the technological evolution that we all hope for.
