One of the news announced with the iPhone 12 was the MagSafe charger. It can function as a conventional wireless charger (and charge any equipment with the Qi standard), but it has the peculiarity of being magnetically coupled to the new iPhone 12.
This is due to the fact that these new devices have magnets, which is not the only case. It has now been revealed by Max Weinbach of Android Police that the Galaxy Z Fold2 also charges in a magnetic way with this charger.
As you can see from the image shared on Twitter, the Samsung foldable connects magnetically and charges with MagSafe. This happens thanks to the magnets that the equipment must have in its folding area.
Bear in mind that MagSafe can charge the new iPhone 12 at 15W, but older models can only be loaded at a maximum of 7.5W. This is the case of the Galaxy Z Fold2, which can only be charged at a maximum of 7.5W with this charger.
It is also mentioned in the comments that this same magnetism works with the Pixel 5, although there are still no images to prove it. Certainly in the coming days we will have more progress in this direction.
