Apple announced the date of its annual event for the presentation of the new iPhone, choosing the 15th of September. On that day, at 6 pm in mainland UK, we will get to know the iPhone 12 generation, the new Apple Watch and more news!
In addition to new mobile phones and smart watches, the Cupertino giant is expected to announce the release date of iOS 14, the next major version of the iPhone’s operating system. There is still room for some surprises by the hand of Tim Cook.
Up to four new iPhone 12 for 2020
Although its realization has been postponed, no doubt due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Apple is finally ready to announce its products and we could have up to four new iPhones. The new iOS smartphones will hit stores later in October.
Tim Cook’s company previously reported in the latest fiscal report that the next mobile phones would not be sold in September. The reasons for this are obvious and dictated the general delay in Cupertino’s designs.
The #appleevent revealed by the image published above, tells us little about what will be presented. The image can symbolize continuity, unity and the different paths that the company can take.
From OLED screens to 5G on iPhone 12
The most economical, the iPhone 12, can arrive with a 5.4 inch screen. Next up is the iPhone 12 with 6.1 inches and the iPhone 12 Pro, with the same diagonal. Next up is the iPhone 12 Pro Max with a screen that can reach 6.7 inches.
It is pointed out the presence of a triple camera in the “Pro” models, compared to the double camera aimed at the conventional models of the iPhone 12. In addition, leaks suggest a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz for the ProMotion screens.
Likewise, we have support for 5G networks, even though the exact modem used and the standard supported are still unknown. Incidentally, Apple may shock the world with some of the choices for the iPhone 12, especially in the 5G.
New iPad Air is also on the way!
According to Bloomberg, in addition to the new iPhone 12, Apple should also update the iPad Air. It is expected that the new model will have some of the features present in the iPad Pro, from support for Pencil, to the end-to-end screen .
Regarding the Apple Watch Series 6, we have two new versions. The top version to replace the Series 5 and the most economical, aiming to replace the Series 3, still marketed by Apple.
We may have news about Apple’s own processors based on the ARM platform and intended for Macs. These chips are in full development within the company and we have some updates for the public.
Finally, we can have a new HomePod, Apple’s smart speaker. The same applies to the brand’s headphones, possibly in their own name and not under the purview of Beats as they have so far.
