2017 is almost over and it is time to look to the future. More specifically the next generation of smartphones from HMD. Before that and in a footnote, we have to praise some of the traces of this brand. Look at its impressive build quality – across all products – and above all, periodic updates to the Android operating system. Now the first specs of the possible successor of Nokia 5 have emerged.

Periodic, fast updates that reinforce the relationship between consumer and brand. From Nokia 2, the most economical device in the brand, to Nokia 8 that can already be proud to use the new version of Android.
Version 8.0 Oreo remains a mirage for the overwhelming majority of users of this brand. Without forgetting the patches monthly security, something that also deserves a praise note.
Nokia 5 2018, the next Android from HMD?
This brand is committed to providing a very fluid, clean and unobstructed user experience. Not to mention the great value for money for a smartphone available in physical store. Factors that surprised us with the brand. An authentic phoenix that is beginning to prove its new value.
Now, after getting to know the first Nokia 5 in 2017, will the brand surprise us with a Nokia 5 2018? Or a Plus version? Or even a Nokia 5 2018? Here's the news:
While many of the brand's fans are waiting for a new high-end, the ink-ridden Nokia 9 has been running, the device we see here presents itself as a mid-range device. An Android smartphone that may well be the successor of Nokia 5 given the features presented.
TA-1041, the successor of Nokia 5?
Not forgetting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor. This is an octa-core SoC with maximum frequencies of 2.2Ghz that will be accompanied by 4GB of RAM.
Above we can see the record left by the TA-1041 device, a model with mid-range features and a possible successor to the "5". Here we have a 5.2 inch screen or screen with a Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels).
What's more, the smartphone will have 64GB of internal memory and not just 16GB as in the current model. Already in the photographic department we will have a rear sensor with 16MP resolution, a small jump compared to 13MP. Already in the front will have a 5MP camera whereas in the current model we have 8MP. Note, resolution (MP's) are not everything but it is nonetheless a strange decision.
Finally, at operating system level this new smartphone uses Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Something weird since we already have several branded devices with Android Oreo. Anyway, it goes without saying that this TA-1041 will receive Android Oreo shortly after it is released.
We currently have no information on your release date or possible pricing. We will be aware of further developments.
