Huami, Xiaomi’s satellite company, has just announced the new cheap smartwatch, the Amazfit Bip U with promising features. The autonomy reaches nine days of use and the SpO2 sensor is also present!
With the wearables growing, according to Statista data, Amazfit continues to surprise with cheap and good smartwatches, especially for monitoring the user’s physical activity.
The Amazfit Bip U is the new Xiaomi smartwatch
The new product will be launched on the Indian market, the world’s second largest mobile device market, through its Amazon subsidiary. The advanced date, October 16, is unfortunately not accompanied by a selling price to the public.
Even so, in that same market, Amazfit Bip S is on sale for the equivalent of 68 dollars. In view of this, we believe that the new smart watch will be guided by the same or similar values.
With the new Amazfit Bip U, Xiaomi continues to strengthen its presence in the wearables expanding one of the cheapest product lines. At the same time, the product launch in India will also strengthen Xiaomi’s position in the country.
SpO2 monitoring, just like on the Apple Watch
The new Amazfit Bip U presents little to the consumer, being essentially an inexpensive alternative to the Apple Watch Series 6. The rectangular design with rounded corners is the hallmark of Apple smartwatches, but there is more to be said.
As with the Cupertino giant’s new watch, the Amazfit Bip U also incorporates the oximetry sensor (SpO2), informing the user about the oxygen concentration in the blood, which is the biggest highlight of the new Xiaomi smartwatch.
In addition, the Amazfit Bip U has a color TFT LCD screen, heart rate sensor, possibility to be always on (always-on), in addition to 60 sport modes. It has water resistance up to 50 m (5 ATM) and autonomy up to 9 days.
It is also important to monitor the menstrual cycle, stress levels and sleep cycles. In summary, you will have the main features and functions of the Mi Band 5, but with a larger screen and clock format.
The Amazfit Bip U will be available in pink, black and green as the main customization options. The launch on international markets remains to be seen.
