AirPods Pro are in trouble! Apple has already launched free replacement program

Apple AirPods Pro, like the overwhelming majority of the brand’s products, have become extremely popular since the day they were launched. However, it seems that not even their price of almost € 300 saved them from problems, but there is no reason to be alarmed.

Apple yesterday announced a new replacement program for AirPods Pro that has certain operating problems. According to the manufacturer, some units were affected by manufacturing problems, presenting concrete difficulties in sound reproduction.

What problems are affecting Apple AirPods Pro

Under the terms and conditions of the new collection and replacement program implemented by Apple, they state that AirPods Pro affected by these problems may exhibit one (or more) of the following behaviors:

  • Static or crackling sounds, which become even more evident at high volumes, during exercise or voice calls.
  • Active noise cancellation does not work as expected, presenting “low” losses and / or serious failures in the ability to isolate certain external sounds.

If you are unfortunate enough to have purchased one of the affected units, you should immediately contact Apple, so that they can arrange to exchange them. Apple says that according to its investigations, all affected units were manufactured by October 2020, meaning all models manufactured to date.

It is important to note that this is not a “no questions asked” replacement. Before the exchange takes place, AirPods Pro will be analyzed by Apple technicians to confirm the presence of manufacturing problems. In addition, since the shipping box is not a problem, only AirPods will be replaced.
