After the great success that was the remaster of the legendary Age of Empires 2, Microsoft is now finalizing Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition. Despite not having revealed much information about the new game, Microsoft has already confirmed that starting in February, they will start sending invitations for the phase beta.
If you are one of the many millions of Age of Empires fans, you can sign up for the program Insiders to have the opportunity to join the restricted testing group. You can do this through the official AoE website. It is important to note that registration does not guarantee that you will be selected, but it is the only way to have a chance to be chosen.
Minimum requirements to apply:
- Windows 10 64-bit
- 8GB RAM
- 2GB graphics memory
- DX11 / D3D11
- HD Graphics 4400
The phase that will start in February should accommodate only a small number of players, to carry out the first phase of testing and ensure that everything is working as expected. Then, in March, the second testing phase will begin, where many more users will be integrated.
The main focus will be placed on online mode, which will most likely be the most popular with fans. Still, they will also make available the campaign mode, even if only in small portions. These small missions that will be made available will be accessible only to restricted groups of users, making it easier to join a group for multiplayer games.
There is no doubt that AoE II turned out to be the most popular title in the Age of Empires saga. However, the launch of its version remastared ended up captivating millions of players again, preparing them for the arrival of this new release.
It will be interesting to see what news Microsoft will implement in this new version of the classic, which will certainly bring a lot of news.
