Microsoft is today a company quite different from what it was in the past. At least with regard to the philosophy and attitude employed in dealing with other companies and programmers. Satya Nadella is one of the main drivers of such a move and therefore made the decision to acquire GitHub.
For those who do not know, GitHub is a platform that allows developers and ordinary users (registered) to contribute to private or open projects, called Open Source projects. However, if many see such movement with good eyes, others not so many.

Indeed, after the purchase involving a similar amount of US $ 7.5 billion, the first barriers to its success are now emerging. Not by any of the companies, but by their main product.
In fact, the developers, which are the most important of all, turned out not to be unanimous with the acquisition. Not anything like that. Unfortunately, it seems that part of these eventually replaced the GitHub platform with GitLab.
Microsoft won't worry about losing GitHub users ?!
GitLab is, as you might think, a competitor to the company that now belongs to Microsoft. According to one such statement on Twitter, activity around your app has increased about 10-fold in recent days.
However, this can only indicate that, in fact, users are migrating their projects from side to side. That is, they easily reveal their dissatisfaction. Because? Well, it will depend on each programmer, who will have their reasons.
What is certain is that it is no longer the first time that US giant Microsoft has opted for a play of this kind. So who knows what the next target will be.
